Overview
Getting to the BVI is easy from North America. The recommended and most direct route is via San Juan, Puerto Rico with a connecting flight to Beef Island airport, Tortola. American Airlines has a modern terminal in San Juan with connecting flights through their American Eagle service.

Alternate carriers to and from San Juan are LIAT, Cape Air (associated with Continental Airlines), Carib Sun (connected with United Airlines) and Air Sunshine.

Via St Thomas, USVIia
There are direct flights from the US mainland to St. Thomas. A short taxi ride from the airport will take you to the ferry dock in downtown Charlotte Amalie. There are two ferry services to choose from - Native Son and Smith's Ferry. They alternate schedules to Tortola and run 4 or 5 times daily. Reservations are not necessary and the cost is about $40 round trip. A scenic 50 minute ferry ride takes you from Charlotte Amalie along the south shore of St Thomas and past the north shore of St John. On arrival at the West End ferry dock in Tortola, you need to disembark with your luiggage and go through BVI Immigration control and Customs formalities.

If you are spending some time in a St Thomas hotel before joining the yacht in Tortola, the same ferry companies also offer a service from Red Hook, at the eastern end of the island, to West End, Tortola. This is about a 30 minute trip. This might be a more convenient choice.

From Europe
From Europe, several airlines offer direct flights to Puerto Rico, Antigua or St. Martin with onward connections to Tortola. Air 2000 now operates a weekly charter flight from London's Gatwick Airport direct to St Thomas with a ferry connection to Tortola. The flight is convenient and reasonably priced (especially for last minute bookings). Please contact us for more info.
Private Charter
Alternatively, if you would like a private VIP service you might like to try Fly BVI. Based at the BVI's Beef Island airport they offer air-charter pickups in one of their small fleet of light aircraft. They are comparably priced for groups of over 4 passengers and offer a personal service and the convenience of working to your schedule. Fly BVI can pick up groups from San Juan, St Thomas, St Martin and Antigua
BVI Departure Tax

Tortola's Beef Island Airport has been recently modernised with a brand new terminal building. BVI departure tax is now $20pp. (Summer 2003)

Taxi Transfers
If we have your arrival time, we will pass your name to Dave Winter, a local taxi driver who has been looking after our guests for many years. He will make himself known to you as you leave the Custom's Hall. The ride to Nanny Cay Marina is approximately 20 minutes from the ferry dock and 35 minutes from the airport. If you arrive unannounced, don't be concerned - just mention to any taxi driver "Endless Summer II" at Nanny Cay Marina. They all know who and where we are! The taxi fare is not included in your rate and you should pay your driver directly. Please note you do need a taxi with 4WD to negotiate the drive at Summer Heights.
